Trump claimed this was evidence that Biden is “humiliating” the nation.
However, the reality of the situation was quite different. It turns out, Biden was actually talking to a skydiver who had just landed near the group of leaders as part of a ceremony. Unfortunately, the video was deceptively edited to exclude the skydiver, leading viewers to draw the wrong conclusions.
The White House and others have dismissed videos like these as “cheap fakes,” clarifying that they are not the result of AI deep fake technology but rather quick and basic editing. Despite this, Trump continued his attack on Biden, incorrectly referring to the videos as “clean fakes.”
This is not the first time Trump has made a misstep in his criticism of Biden’s cognitive abilities. Just days earlier, he challenged Biden to a cognitive test and boasted about acing a test given to him by Rep. Ronny Jackson years ago, when Jackson was the White House physician.
